Campbell Chisholm ‘Sid’ OB (Abbey School 1958-63)

Campbell died at Fort William  29 Dec 2005 following an illness which he bravely fought for some years but which was only diagnosed on 17th Nov 2005. He played rugby, hockey and cricket for the school. After leaving the Scottish Hotel School he ran the family business, the West End Hotel in Fort William and was largely instrumental in expanding and developing it into one of the most important hotels in Lochaber. He continued his sporting interests notably fishing, shooting, and golf, rising in motor racing circuits to be Formula Ford champion. Incisive and concise, in build and nature, waffle was not his favourite diet. He leaves his mother Mary,  his wife Eileen-Ann, children, Lisa, Christopher and Victoria and four grandchildren. Requiem Mass was at St Mary`s  on Thurs 5th Jan at 10.15 a.m.

Maria`s husband Alistair gave a brief (as instructed) homily, which was followed by committal at Roy Bridge.
Hospitality, always a measure of the man, was dispensed by the family at the West End.
