Brother Francis took up his vocation later in life (age 40)
He had been responsible for the Abbey electrical plant, the upkeep of the auxiliary engine, the supervision of batteries and water power, the refrigeration plant and for the various motors supplying power for the organ, bells and workshops, all functions expertly performed by Brother Francis.
